38 Degree East, Lounge Bar/Pub, Powai, Mumbai

One stop for awesomeness if looked for, it has to be 38 Degree East in Powai. The ambiance takes you to a different world altogether which is a mix of Iranian, Mexican and Italian cuisines/cultures in short. Enjoyed every moment there. I was invited as a Food Blogger and they really know how to give you a good time. Right from food to drinks, perfection is the word. Every staff serving the delicious dishes exactly know what they are serving. It’s with such style and enthusiasm that the customers are looked after.
With some amazing drinks served with amazing presentation. The show stopper for me was Torafuku which tasted a lot like pina colada, the twist to it was banana flavour along with a small banana and cherry as garnishes to look great with. Then the Cranberry Delight which was a delightful sight in itself as it was served in a two faced glass with fumes coming out of it.
Berry Wine Popsicles was another cocktail that too caught my attention. It is actually served with a popsicle waiting to melt its way into the wine.
Pauva looked refreshing and like a rockstar sits infornt of you, wanting you to grab it and drink it.
In the Appetizers they didn’t fall short with Vegetarian choices Singapore Spindles and Wanton Nachos, they’re full of cheese and melts in your mouth leaving you wanting more.
Pawns Wantons Cup was the star in the non vegetarian department and Jhinga Pakoda. Which you can not just have one.
I was excited to see Sushi fly, its way on my table. Yes I say that as it’s severed on a aeroplane which actually moves.
Lamb burger parked on table as it’s inside a school bus whose roof has to be opened to grab one.
The main course was simply the best with Veg Thai Curry (red) and 7 Jewel Rice. I personally loved Nasi Goreng to settle for one.
Love love love for me was Pisang Goreng and Fruit Filled Baked Wantons with Vanilla Ice Cream.
In short if you are looking for a meal and want to drink your heart out this is the place for you.
They are unapologetic about the drinks they spoil you with. Specially the price tag goes easy on your wallet and you will surely drink more than you planned to settle for.
The decoration (interiors) are mindblowingly fresh and the roof top transports you into another enchanting world.
So guys and girls get ready for fun experince along with some great food.
38 Degree East is the place for you.

Berlin all the way 2016 rocks!!!

Sandip Soparrkar does it again and how…International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema Berlin 2016 saw some very welknown international faces on the red carpet one of them  was our very own Sandip Soparrkar from B Town Bollywood Mumbai. Sandip was invited to talk on “How dance just like Films can bring about the change in the society” and like always did fantastic job on the same. The evening became more colourful and lively when he matched steps with well known dancer from London Ms Melody Ashton and did full justice to the theme “Stop Acid Attack on Women” the dance that couldn’t get better.

Sandip walked the red carpet and also gave away the ‘Best Film’ award. Followed with an interview up and close with ace journalist Steve Grossmith.

Well it’s unfair not to mention that Soparrkar over the years have become a hot favourite with red carpet and specially when it comes to film festivals and taking Bollywood with his dance and placing it on in the world map. Diwali celebration couldn’t get better than this for him and his fans back home in India.

This Persian Biryani came along with Mint Curd and spicy salan Finger Licking Awesomeness Reloaded. So what I had for dinner along with my family was Lazeez Bhuna Murgh Biryani a must have It comes in containers of Regular/King/Kilo So log on and grab yours now

Paradise For Foodies

Well this is one place which I can never forget Right from the first time I set my foot in Singapore I was introduced to Newton Food Centre (Newton Circus earlier)

It has some really good seafood at your disposal First take a walk around the whole place and see and digest the fact that there’s so much to eat and there’s so little we know (Well not all but just saying) I was taken by surprise there are live crabs looking at you to have them (I guess)

A table with a picture of Himalaya products specially made for Singapore locals and the tourist as well pasted on it welcome me It was a little treat to see it and quite interesting not to click a picture with it Colorful and Adventurous to the core

We started out eating adventure with the very lovely Baby Kailan Stir Fry it’s something I can swear by and it’s love love love kind of a feeling with the very first sight of it You have to grab a bite to believe it.

Followed with some mysterious looking Bloody Cockles some people love it and some can’t stand the smell of it One has to develop a taste for it or else they are just rubber like and chewy My take on it avoid it if you are the safe eater and if you not then go for it You will love it for sure.

Next came String Ray BBQ well the sauce on it was to die for and the fish is so nice it feels like it gives it’s flesh too easily to you to hog on it Simple and tasteful to the core I loved it for sure

We did try our hands on Prawn  Fired Rice that we ordered for our low of adventure friend who was in for a shock with every dish we ordered This one was for him  but to his bad luck it was very plain and tasteless I would like to add I still loved it pawns which were well cooked, juicy and soft

The star of the night for me was Oyster Omlette very common in Taiwan and places in love to eggs and oyster. It’s wonderful and easy on your palate to eat We have a repeat of the same As one wasn’t enough (for the bukhads that we are)

So the next time you are in Singapore and hungry for some serious seafood (you get chicken as well) head straight to Newton Food Centre don’t look left and right as that’s the place to be LIKE it’s said When in Rome be like the Romans….When in Singapore eat like a Singaporean and keep me posted if you liked what you eat at Newton Food Centre

Dream Job Think again!!!

What happens when you don’t land your dream job? Does the dream job translate into your passion? Does the road block seem to be the end of your dream? Why is it important to know what you want and what you have are two different things in life? There are good amount of people who have these questions which are unanswered not because they these are unreasonable questions but because no one ever finds out the answer for these. When I set myself in market to find my dream job I realized I had to work hard towards it. Working hard doesn’t mean getting your dream job but after ten long years I realized my dream job was not and will never be my passion. One has to work towards achieving their goal but changing your goal when required doesn’t mean you did try hard it just means you tried smart. Being a hard worker and a smart worker are two different things

.IMG_1271

Today I might love a certain trend tomorrow I might not. Same is with a job. If you are not satisfied with your job dint give up on your job which was once your dream jobs rather develop a passion which gives you more satisfaction and the job can be treated as a source of income which is also (only) important and will also help you follow your passion. Why give up on people or yourself or your job. We all need each other and we all need that job. Yes it’s true we need that one job to support us. End of the day what matters is that one job. There would be people around telling you things, oh you can do better than this, it’s not for you, to belong somewhere else, you are better off without this, go ahead follow your dreams and stuff like that. Will these people support you while you struggle to find the place you truly belong to? The best thing is making it work around things. People tell you things like that because they like you and love your ways and are kind with compliments towards you. Love them; respect them as they would be the first ones to correct you as well. As I said we all need each other and that job. If it pays your rent and bill, live with it. Deal with it you are here and it is happening now. Don’t miss the bus because you don’t feel it is good enough for you. Love your life and it will love you back. Love your job and it will do justices to you. Don’t get carried away. Rather carry it away from you. Develop a passion it will stay with you forever. Run if you want to, dance if you can, sing if you have it in you and love yourself to be loved back. I don’t write blogs to be read I write to be appreciated for the passion I put behind it and inspire myself when people get inspired by the writings. It is a beautiful feeling to be loved and liked; we all crave for the same but again how expressive are we to love and like others. Some other time on that. Bottom-line is following something you are passionate about,  Follow your dreams is a pass. It is help me to help you, love me to love you. Be the light to someone you always wanted for yourself.

Shine together and grow together.
